ACTION Synergy
Action Synergy S.A. is an ICT R&D, training and knowledge- based applications organization, which is actively involved in the development of education technologies, training methodologies and e-learning training courses. Action Synergy S.A. draws on long experience in the management, coordination and implementation of European Projects, especially in the field of education and training.
One main domain, in which Action Synergy is working, is in the field of the integration of social groups in risk of exclusion. It has a great experience working with immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers, Roma, gangs, with people with disabilities, immigrants etc. It is also focusing on the support of the professionals that are working with them.
Since its foundation in 1987 the organisation has participated in a considerable number of EU educational projects, such as COMETT, PETRA, SOCRATES, LEONARDO DA VINCI, ARTICLE 6, ADAPT, TEMPUS, PHARE, Distance learning.
Action Synergy’s S.A. key areas of expertise include: Development of learning methodologies, development of educational technologies, development of courses and modules making use of innovative methodologies such as: open/flexible learning methodologies, e-learning, learning needs analysis, and development of professional profiles and lists of skills and competencies, development of synergies at local, national and transnational level.
The Austrian Women's Shelter Network (AÖF) is the coordination centre of the network of autonomous Women's Shelters, established in 1988. Its main tasks are to organise meetings and media work, campaigns together with the staff of the shelters, to undertake information sharing and lobbying for work on women's shelters in Austria and for all groups who are working in the field of domestic violence and gender-based violence, gender stereotypes and gender mainstreaming. The AÖF offers and performs trainings for all professionals who are confronted with gender-based violence in their work life, such as police officers, lawyers, social workers, medical staffs, media, teachers, therapists, etc. The national Women's Helpline operates also under the umbrella of the AÖF, based in Vienna. The AÖF was and is leader of several EU- Projects regarding gender-based violence and was partner in EU- Projects tackling gender stereotypes, like “GEAR against IPV ("Gender Equality Awareness Raising against Intimate Partner Violence“ , DAPHNE project JLS/2008/DAP3/AG/1258) and “Heartbeat” ( DAPHNE Project on Prevention of violence in intimate teenage relationships in the framework of education and youth work, JLS/2007/DAP-1/262 30-CE-0228065-00/73. 
The Health and Social Development Foundation (HESED) was founded in 1998 with the mission to promote opportunities for personal and community development, health and social well-being, as well as to create and popularise effective approaches for the successful integration of socially excluded communities. It is a leader in the development and implementation of a new approach for successful integration of the Roma community in Bulgaria. The foundation develops and implements successful models for early childhood development, health promotion and integrated services, which break the vicious cycle of poverty and social exclusion. HESED’s team is multidisciplinary and multi-ethnic. It includes over 40 specialists from various fields (psychologists, social workers, teachers, medical staff, health and social community assistants from the Roma community).
The SPI Forschung gGmbH/SPI Research gGmbH is a non-profit applied social research institute grounded in 1987, based in Berlin. It possesses solid expertise in international and EU-network project management for 20 years (EU-Programmes Public Health, Daphne, Justice, GIZ, GFATM, IOM). The team of social scientists draws on significant experience in social, psychosocial and health research with qualitative, participatory and quantitative methods. The main thematic areas encompass health and social inclusion, education, prevention (HIV/AIDS, STIs, drugs), sexual and mental health. The primary groups addressed are women, youth in school and outside of school settings, migrants and ethnic minorities (incl. Roma), special vulnerable groups such as people using drugs, and sex workers. Major relevant interventions in the field are capacity building and transfer of good-practice models for participatory research and community-based prevention. SPI draws on expertise in training, consultancy and supervision in public health and education for teachers and educational professionals, social workers, health and social care professionals as well. Fostering participation and empowerment of the beneficiaries’ groups is at the core of all project and approaches implemented by SPI, aiming to enhance civil society’ share in decision-making processes.
